About the Author
I have been a creative sort for all of my life.
In my youth, I spent a great deal of my time writing little stories and drawing characters or scenes from them, sharing them with family and friends. Sure, many of my tales and artworks were based on established literature, film, and characters, but we all have to start somewhere.
As I grew older, my creative interests moved into film and music, but my love for writing and art remained. I dabbled in classes focusing on both of those, but it wasn’t until I started writing my first novel that I started to consider that maybe I should be an author by working on my debut novel.
That was ten years ago. Admittedly, writing was a struggle for the last decade- as Hemingway said, you just sit at a typewriter (or laptop, in my case) and bleed. But I still worked through it. I got married to the love of my life, I became a high school English teacher to pay the bills, and I finally decided to put my love of writing into practice.
Since 2016, I have seen a number of my short stories (the writings I actually could complete in an orderly fashion) published in the likes of Sanitarium Magazine and Schlock Webzine and, late last year (2023), I finally completed my novel, Purpose- yes, the one that took a decade. Now, I’m working to get it published and shared with everyone.
As I mentioned before, I am a creative sort- aside from my writing, I create artwork (sketches, portraits, and the like with graphite, charcoal, and other B & W mediums, some of which I will begin sharing on my site in the future) and I dabble in content creation on YouTube. If you’ve read this far, why not check out my links on the site to visit some of my published works or my other pursuits.
Thank you for checking me out and I look forward to sharing more in the future.
